ffuturesThe Enterprise episode currently on TV (entitled Precious Cargo) has a character in an escape pod saying that there's a solar system "about ninety kilometres away" and that they should be able to reach it in a day or so.
Unfortunately I didn't write down the exact distance and time specified, but unless I was mis-hearing fairly badly it implies that the pods travel at 5-10 KPH. If anyone has this episode on tape/DVD please let me know the exact words, since it's a natural for Dave Langford's "Thog" column in Ansible.
