Permanent accounts, big cats, and frelling Netsweeper...

For anyone who doesn't read news there is going to be a 24-hour sale of permanent accounts for $150 USD. The sale starts Tuesday, June 7th (midnight EST) and will last until Wednesday, June 8th (midnight EST), and you get 50 user pics and never have to pay again. My account happens to expire on the 24th, I know that $150 would normally pay for six years but I'm strongly tempted to treat myself.

And bloody Netsweeper is now blocking nearly all of the newsfeeds I read because they are "humor sites". Well yeah, bozo, that's why I read them. Except that now I won't be doing that at work. REALLY annoying.

And bloody Netsweeper is now blocking nearly all of the newsfeeds I read because they are "humor sites". Well yeah, bozo, that's why I read them. Except that now I won't be doing that at work. REALLY annoying.

In my office we are blocked from just about everything of interest except LiveJournal and Amazon. No comics, no checking the movie reviews, or checking IMDB to see who that guy is who we can't remember the name of. It's a pain. Particularly when there are some days where I restart my web server multiple times and can't do anything productive in the 8 minutes it takes to come up.
