I've put what I hope is the final draft of Sir Howard Vincent's Police Code on my site.

http://www.forgottenfutures.co.uk/policecode/code0.htm

This version hopefully has loads more errors corrected, a complete index, and is fully hypertext threaded. Given how complex a document this is it's inevitable that there will probably be a mistake or two, PLEASE let me know if you find anything.

If all goes well I'll probably start posting links to this after the weekend, but please give me a chance to fix any last errors first.

Beyond "This is a cool book I've found, I think I'll scan it," I am unaware of the significance of this book to you. Do you think of this as a resource for game designers? Novelists? Is it part of the background to a game you already have created? Or is it simply an interesting book you wish to share?

All of the above. It's about the most detailed guide to how Scotland Yard operated in that era I've ever seen, so ought to be very useful to anyone writing or gaming about London from say the 1890s to the 1920s.
