...one of the ways I keep various things fresh in my memory is to have them as a "visible only to me" entry at the top of my livejournal so that I see them every day. To put them at the top I set the date a few weeks ahead.

Except that Livejournal now treats them as "scheduled posts" and hides them from me.

What you can do is do the post at the current time and then, once it has been posted, edit its timestamp -- I had this exact same issue a week or so back.
