ffutures: (Dalek 2)

It was fun, but it did recycle some old ideas (e.g. the virtual world that isn't what it seems) and the Doctor's escape from contamination needs a bit of explanation - I'm guessing his love for Rory and Amy saved him somehow but it would be nice to know.

Or maybe he'll turn Dalek later in the series...

Anyway, a good if not ground-breaking start, hopefully the rest will be as good or better, and it was nice to see so many old-style Daleks.

What I didn't understand is what security system out the key the to jail (or asylum) inside the jail. Surely you leave that outside so the inmates can't tamper with it.

There are many nanobot excuses possible including - they won't work on time lords, due to there regeneration powers, etc.

It did the usual Nu Who trick of not quite making sense, even on its own terms.

Ah, the Daleks have form on that. They also put the only cure to the hideous disease they'd developed into the same room the hideous disease was kept in, so they couldn't get at the cure when the disease got loose in that room. I'm blanking on the title of that one - it was a Pertwee one.

Haven't seen it yet but I presume that the "Pond Life" segments have some bearing in this.

By the way, somebody posted a picture of Matt Smith and Nathan Fillion talking and I couldn't help but think; "And the sound you now hear is thousands of fan fictions being written."
