Well, it really is official now...

My Over Sixties Oyster photocard arrived on Thursday, and though it still isn't my birthday the instructions with it said that I should start to use it immediately. So I gave it a try today, and had no problems.

I also got a VERY generous birthday present from the other support staff at work on Friday, totally blind-sided me since my birthday is next week, during half term, and half a dozen cards with 60 on them.

I guess I'll have to start acting my age now!

Still a few months to go for me.

Got a shock last night watching Being Human. Phil Davis (Hatch) seems to be typecast as old codgers so it was a shock seeing on the IMDb that he is eight days younger than me.

It is amazing how much younger 60 is now that I'm nearly there than it was when I was 20. I reckon you're hardly more than early middle-aged!
