This is an odd one...

I noticed (as I'm sure have many hundreds of other viewers) that in an episode of the Batman animated series the Joker tries to hit Batman with a hammer taken from a tool box marked with the name Binford, the tool company in the TV show Home Improvement.

So I added a note to that effect in the "in other media" section of the Home Improvement article.

And it's been deleted because it's "original research."

Well, we can't have "original research," now can we? Might interfere with the purity of the people all quoting each other in the great Circle of Reference.

Reminds me of the decadent Empire in Asimov's earliest Foundation stories.

That's the thing I found strangest about Wikipedia. For example, they mention the term "timepunk" and credit me with having coined it in GURPS Steampunk. Now, I know absolutely for certain that I did no such thing; I coined "clockpunk," which has caught on, but someone else unknown to me generalized it to "timepunk," a term I find inelegant and would never use. But as the author of the book, I am not qualified to correct the assertion!

Ah but if I understand Wikipedia correctly I (for instance) can now update the page and reference you comment above as the source.......
