Just sent a DMCA notice to a site that has a vast number of pirated RPGs downloadable, including Diana: Warrior Princess and Elvis: The Legendary Tours. They will be hearing from a LOT of games companies, the shit has just hit the fan big-time on the main industry mailing list.

That surprises me, I mean okay, one can expect to find anything on torrents, but I thought websites hosting this sort of stuff was a thing of the past.

You'd think so, but apparently no. It's actually the second such site found in the last few weeks, but the other was comparatively small - this one has a very large number of files, I suspect some major copyright owners (not just games companies) may be on the case.

They all legit too, like, actual full versions of real products, not just virus soaked adware?

And if they've got even a hint of any GW product, you should let them know, one thing Games Workshop has is legions of trained attack lawyers, they will eviscerate the person responsible in a very brutal way quicker than you can blink.

Looks like stuff downloaded from Drivethru RPG and other legit PDF sites, also scans of books - I haven't checked for Warhammer etc. but I'd imagine someone's already on it.

But GW may be the least of their problems - there's a huge number of Disney files...

I thought Drivethru downloads came with a digital stamp as to who they had been purchased by. But then I suppose there's nothing a dedicated pirate can't strip out.

They even hosting the stuff themselves? Or is it on fireshare websites?

Don't know the technicalities, except that they have an online DMCA complaints form which presumably goes to someone in charge.
