I note one minor grammatical point: the sentence I think we have that covered, so why don’t we all try to get an early night, it’s going to be a long weekend is what is traditionally called a "comma splice," a kind of run-on where two independent clauses are bumped together. After "early night" I would suggest either changing the comma to a semicolon, or changing it to a period (full stop) and capitalizing "It's."
