ffuturesOne ray of sunlight in the dismal election news - Just heard that Nigel Farage, leader of UKIP (right-wing Eurosceptic nutters) has not won his seat. VERY relieved. He claimed he would resign from his party if not elected, I wonder how he'll weasel out of it.
later - his speech didn't mention his earlier promise to resign within ten minutes if he lost. What a surprise...
later still - apparently he said he'd resign as chairman, not altogether. He's done neither.
finally - he's gone. I suspect he realised that doing so gives him a chance of clawing back some power, while staying on as party chief would just prove he's a liar.
