Does this look like a good deal, and a reasonable printer? Seems cheap, but I have a feeling they aren't mentioning snags. Or has the technology really come along a lot recently? Looks like the filament costs £33 a roll but they don't say how much you get and how big a volume it will make.

There are two more expensive models, one of them incorporating a 3D scanner, but it's more than double the price.

I would guess the problem will be the cost of the medium and the resolution not being very good, leading to very lumpy bumpy builds.

I'd want to see some examples of the quality of the things it produces?

My feeling is that, certainly to start with, you'd be better off using Shapeways than having your own 3D printer.
