I'm selling a UK extension lead for an iPad/Macbook etc. power supply. With just under two hours to go the only bidder is in Lithuania. Why? They use Euro leads etc., nothing like this. Does not compute...

And come to think of it, why did I list this for any country other than the UK?

IIRC Lithuania runs on Euro-standard mains plugs (the former Soviet version). But note that UK mains plugs are used in India and a whole bunch of other countries around the world -- they're not unique to the UK.

Still seems a bit odd - surely it would be cheaper to buy one in the country, given the postage.

Except that it turns out he's registered in Lithuania but resident in London, and just got a bargain...

I used to have to explain to eBay sellers that I was resident in the US but routinely spent several weeks a year in the UK, and yes I would like to bid and have it sent to the UK address I was currently at. :-)

Shame there's no "dual residency" option on eBay memberships.
