Finally decided what I'll be running at this year's Dragonmeet

Morning

Bring Them Back Alive
Forgotten Futures – Empire of Earth

London Zoo was razed during the Sirian War, but with the war over the Zoological Society has decided to rebuild on a grand scale. Needless to say, some animals will be needed… not just from Earth, but from the other planets. Several lucrative contracts are available, and may appeal to adventurers who find themselves a little strapped for cash. Of course there are likely to be a few small problems…

4-6 players, 2-3 hours.

Afternoon

The Pirates - In An Adventure With Aliens
Diana: Warrior Princess rules

With Earth under attack by deadly aliens, Queen Buttercup of the former People’s Republic of Florin decides to issue Letters of Marque and Reprisal to any pirate or privateer prepared to rise to the challenge. The adventurers are retired pirates, immortal and bored; this might be their chance for new adventures, if they can sort out a few minor problems such as not actually owning any ships. And there might even be money in it, anyone who calls themselves “gold” and flies around in pyramids probably has some treasure lying around…

4-6 players, 2-3 hours.

Note - this was inspired by a management game run by [livejournal.com profile] papersky at an SF con many years ago, in which a crack team of experts had to rebuild Florin's economy, and ended up getting the Dread Pirate Roberts to do most of the heavy lifting.

Damn! Wish I could be there. It must be nearly thirty years since I last went to a Dragonmeet. Always thoroughly enjoyed them. This was back in the days when they were in the Royal Horticultural Hall and I was one of the handful who turned up in costume (this was long before Cosplay became a common part of fandom). Played some good indie games at them as well as more mainstream games like CofC. Glad to hear that they are still going.

Best luck on the day and hoping you get the players you deserve.

Thanks - I usually have a lot of fun, though I'm not a huge fan of the new site.
