RIP Peter Dickinson

Just heard via pauldormer that Peter Dickinson has died, age 88, on his birthday.

He'll be remembered for a lot of very good children's books and detective fiction including some SF, most notably the Changes series, The Green Gene, and the alt-history detective novel Queen and Joker and a sequel whose name temporarily escapes me.
