Calculator again...

The guy in Italy I sold the calculator to claims to have received completely different goods to those I sent - some bits of plastic which I can't identify and a power supply that was not in the original package.

I suppose that it's possible that someone opened it in the post and substituted different goods, but it seems very odd.

I've told him he should report it to eBay - we'll see what happens.

And now you see why there are only two countries on the planet I will not ship to, and they are Italy and Nigeria.

Historically at least, Italy prohibited the import of a lot of goods, so Italians are used to "it was lost in the postal system" as an explanation for all sorts of things going wrong.

Well, we'll see what happens. At least I sent it by tracked mail, so hopefully ebay won't give me too hard a time about it.
