ffutures: Elvis: The Legendary Tours RPG cover (Elvis)

I'm writing an adventure outline for the Elvis: The Legendary Tours RPG - basically, it's going to be a "bringing law and order to the lawless frontier town" type of adventure, in which frontier law-woman Billie "Doc" Holliday summons Elvis and his friends to Las Vegas, a wretched hive of scum and villainy ruled by the infamous Grissom Gang (Gus, Nick, Greg, Catherine, and Sarah) and other criminals, and asks them to help restore law and order.

I want the initials CSI to stand for something - not quite sure what, probably some independence slogan, possibly in Spanish. Any suggestions?

Later: Sorry - Gil Grissom, of course, not Gus!

Presumably, you mean Gil Grissom and not the astronaut, right? I don't know any Spanish, so I can't help with CSI.

Damn! Obviously too many Grissoms around...

Yeah, I meant Gil. Any other suggestions for jokes etc. in this situation would be appreciated.

Well, making conflating the two Grissons might be amusing.

I'd thought of it, but I'm not 100% sure Gus Grissom is well enough known for it to work.

The only thing I can come up with on short notice is:

Los Caballeros del Sistema Independiente
(The Knights of the Independent System)

Or, something more slogan-y:

Conquiste el Sistema Inflexible!
(Conquer the inflexible system!)

I don't really like either one, but that's the best I can do right now.

Umm... not sure I'm keen on either of them.

Spanish slogans to do with independence often relate to dates on which something significant happened - like the Mexican "Cinco de Mayo" - and so perhaps CSI could be "Cinco de Septiembre Independencia".

Of course my Spanish is pretty rubbish so the word order might not make sense; I've got a Guatemalan and a Columbian on my F-list, I could ask them for guidance if necessary.

Thanks - not sure I want to tie it to an actual date, but it's certainly a possibility.
