Free kindle book?

Amazon just sent me an order code for a free Kindle book, not quite sure why. Snag is I don't have a kindle. Is there any way I can download it without one? Alternatively, is it something I can give to someone else?

There is a kindle app you can download and use on Android devices.

Amazon say their Kindle app is available for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows.

You can use the Kindle app on your phone. It's how I read Kindle books. Amazon recognises it as my Kindle and any Kindle book I buy from them or get a code for, it sends to the app.

I'm really looking for something that will support my Nook, rather than a platform I don't use for other ebooks, but thanks anyway.

Amazon has an app for reading Kindle books on the Mac that you can download for free; I've had it for maybe a year and it works fine. There's probably a PC app as well.

I should have made this clearer - I use a nook for ebooks, I really don't want to use another platform for a single book. But thanks for the suggestion.

2. Install Calibre for your platform


3. Install the DeDRM plugin for Calibre


4. Purchase book in Kindle on same device as Calibre


5. Import book into Calibre


6. Use in reader of your choice
