Mar. 8th, 2016 02:21 pmQuick question for anyone who went to the Florida worldcon in 1992.
Am I right to think that a lot of people took the opportunity to stay on a couple of days to see a shuttle launch?
If so, how far in advance of the con did you know that the shuttle was being launched?

Date: 2016-03-08 05:01 pm (UTC)They did tours to the facilities during the con.
I think they mentioned it early on--they set the shuttle launch schedules early in the year, as I recall. (I was working the art show and the dealers room, so my experience of show events is slightly limited.)
