It's a couple of weeks since I've done one of these - nothing incredibly beautiful, just some stuff that's come my way in London.

Crossrail continues apace, and I got some nice shots of a train loaded with track entering the Eastbound tunnel at Royal Oak Portal. Larger versions can be found with my uploads on Wikimedia Commons.

This is just outside the grounds of the US Embassy in the West End.

I wonder what happens if you read the sign three times...

Interestingly, the name Gabriela appears on this page about Diana Wynne Jones so I suspect that someone is being a little bit cheeky in selecting their company name...

I often talk about publications in Dead Tree format. In Kensington Gardens the trees are starting to leaf. Not this one though.... I compared normal and infra-red lighting:

And in a charity shop rather further from home I found a lot of these

Tiger shops were selling several different types of insect in resin at £1 each - for some reason dozens like this one ended up in a charity shop, I suspect because they're the least attractive ones in the range. I bought a dozen, and have vague ideas of using them as game pieces or something.
