Distributing Bittorrent File

ffuturesI'm going to be making the Forgotten Futures CD-ROM available as a zip file. I can do this by direct download from my site and via Dropbox, but it's a 400+ MB file so that's a biggish hit on the bandwidth, and I suspect that a lot of people will download it out of curiosity when I announce it.
What I'd like to do is make it available via bittorrent. Since I doubt it will be in demand so much that people can always find a torrent, does it need to be uploaded somewhere so that people can access it when I'm not on line? Is there a reputable site for doing this?
Alternatively, is there a free file hosting site for direct downloads that has reasonable bandwidth?
