High turnout
May. 6th, 2010 09:10 amI went to vote before going in to work today, since I'm going out tonight. Last time I was there around 7.45 and there was a queue of three or four at most. This time I got there at eight and there was a line of 20-30 people across the hall and out into the lobby. Fortunately it doesn't take long to show your poll card and get the ballot papers, and I was still out within ten minutes or so, so I wasn't late for work.
I don't know if this is actually significant - the difference in time may be the main factor - but it looks encouraging for a high turnout, which ought to be a good thing.
