...was a Digital Blue QX7 digital microscope, a successor to the old IntelPlay QX3 camera I used to own. No software, but there's a shareware program for Macs that's compatible and it appears to work well, and gives much better results - higher resolution and better imaging because the lenses are better. The only snag is that the shareware program puts an "unregistered copy" logo on images, and I can't get registration to work, and Digital Blue seem to have gone out of business.

So does anyone happen to have the software for this?

I haven't done this for a while, so here is the latest picspam - I've reduced image size because there's nothing especially wonderful.

First something I saw in a car boot sale that might amuse [livejournal.com profile] rozk

Next a big swan family on the canal at Little Venice:

And finally, inspired by a recent post by [livejournal.com profile] selenak, I went to Greenwich on Tuesday, and came back by the river ferry to Westminster - which is only £4.17 at the moment if you have a freedom pass. A bit dreary and choppy, but I enjoyed the ride anyway.

A few of the things I saw along the way: )

I think there is something wrong with the digital viewfinder of my little camera - a lot of pictures are coming out slightly crooked, I think the little screen in the eyepiece is slightly out of alignment. I shall have to get into the habit of using the back screen instead, or think about changing cameras.
