...another camera lens.

This one was in a Cash Converters shop - they're generally overpriced but occasionally get it wrong. It's a Nikon AF 70-300 F4-5.6 G zoom, dating back to 35mm days but still working well on my D50, with hood and a rear cap - and I've got a spare front cap that fits. My guess is that they tried it on one of the later Nikons that doesn't support the older motor-in-camera focus mechanism and assumed that it was faulty. In fact it's working well, and a real bargain for £19.99.

By coincidence, I got my 18-55 VR zoom in the same store a couple of years ago - and sold my previous non-VR equivalent lens for £4 more on eBay, after fees I broke even. It wasn't such a bargain as this one, but it's one of the reasons why I always check out their stores if I pass one.
