I've just become eligible to access the "Wikipedia Library", a load of sites that are normally behind paywalls. So far as I can make out you get to be a member if you're a reasonably prolific editor and nobody has complained about you, I think that there were a couple of other restrictions but unfortunately I clicked to accept membership and now can't get back to the page that says what they are! The list of sites is quite impressive and includes things like the BMJ, Cambridge University Press, Nature, etc. so hopefully it'll be useful.

I think most people guessed this might be coming, she hasn't looked well since the Duke of Edinburgh died. She's been on the throne my entire life, though the actual coronation was when I was four months old. I've never actually met her or as far as I know seen her in person, but that's mostly me not liking crowds much. She's had a huge impact on Britain for the last seventy years, and I'm not sure what things will look like now she's gone.

You'll notice that they're already referring to Charles as the King. No guarantee that he'll use that name on the throne, he might go with something else.

Things that we can expect:
Nothing much else on the TV or in the papers for the next week or two.
New currency eventually - the Queen's head is on everything.
Ditto stamps, which means that the timing of the rollout of new 1st and 2nd class stamps earlier this year was a bit unfortunate.
Huge arguments about the succession, becoming a republic, etc. despite Charles already being considered the King.
