Two Rifts Bundles - one repeat, one new
May. 20th, 2024 06:33 pmThis is a bundle of material for Rifts from Palladium Books, one a repeat bundle from 2022 and the other new.
Rifts Core Megabundle, has the core rulebook and 17 essential supplements; if you're new to Rifts, start here.
RIFTS CORE MEGA (from Dec 2022)

Rifts Coalition Wars adds 15 sourcebooks about the Coalition States and the seven-part Siege on Tolkeen campaign.
RIFTS COALITION WARS (new)

Unfortunately this has come in at the same time as the Hugo Awards Voters Pack, and I'm going to have to give that priority so I haven't yet taken a close look at this. Last time the Megabundle was offered I said:
I'm not a fan of Rifts, but opinions differ. By now this is a fairly old system and I'm not sure that any of these books were published less than twenty years ago - I should add that I haven't checked every one, I've just looked a couple up at random - and the game mechanics etc. are a little dated.
But if you like the system and/or setting and want more for it, it's probably worth a look.
The new collection is material that was originally published in 2000-2002 - at a quick glance it looks like the interdimensional war that's at the core of this system hotted up to 11, and possibly mainly of interest to players who like a LOT of combat in their adventures.
