I actually took these a couple of weeks ago but forgot to post them.
First, I came across a family of swans and their (now nearly grown) cygnets.




I think this may have been the same family of swans I saw in August, the numbers seem right: http://ffutures.livejournal.com/1217427.html - lots of big pictures
Next, a goose who seems to have made an interesting discovery:

and finally some very sinister looking fungi I saw in Kensington Gardens - I'll put my theory about it behind the cut since it isn't nice...




Given the feathers etc. my theory is that this clump is growing over a large dead bird of some sort - I'm guessing it died and got colonised by spores before anyone removed the body. Can anyone identify the fungus?
Probably won't be many more picspams this year with winter coming on, but you never know.
