More specifically one of the causes of the Indian Mutiny...

The Bank of England's new plastic fivers are apparently made from a plastic which includes small amounts of tallow. Various religious groups, vegans, vegetarians etc. are not impressed, and want the Bank to change them. Sign here if you agree:

It seems very odd that a synthetic product should need tallow. I suspect it's microscopically cheaper than the alternatives.
