Is it just me that thinks that the National Television Awards trophy looks like a globe being crushed by a tentacle, e.g. a variant Hydra logo?

This reminds me that in the seventies, the critic Milton Shulman wrote a study on the effect of television on society. He called it Ravenous Eye and the paperback edition showed a television with tentacles coming out of it.

WH Smith in Notting Hill shelved it in their SF section.
