Name a character I do some kind of creative work about, and I will tell you the five(ish) things I think are fundamental to understanding them.

He understands Willow's magic addiction because he's been there.
He hated every moment of the Crucimentum but bought in to the argument it was necessary until Joyce was endangered.

Date: 2017-03-07 08:45 pm (UTC)He is The Law.
He is The Law in over-tight boots because they take his mind off any doubts about The Law.
He sometimes wonders if whoever designed the uniform ever tried to take a pee in a hurry.
He hates any duty that takes him out of Mega-City One - not because he feels homesick, but because he loses several days of being The Law by spending time in quarantine and revising all the new changes to The Law before returning to duty.
He doesn't play favourites - if he did Anderson would probably be at the top of the list, despite being a psychic mutant.

Date: 2017-03-10 11:00 am (UTC)She loves Earth - just the idea of open spaces and wilderness and animals amazes her after a lifetime in an artificial environment - and tries to see as much of it as she can.
She's driven by a sense of duty and family responsibility - initially to her city, later (in my stories) to Earth and its people and environment.
She sometimes feels homesick for Argo City and misses her parents.
She loves Clark - he's her only blood relative on Earth - but usually prefers him at the other end of a phone call, he has a tendency to be over-protective and judgemental.
She really wishes people wouldn't keep trying to shoot her, it's annoying having to catch all the ricochets before someone gets hurt. As for idiots who throw their guns at her, try to stab her, etc...
