Just put in my Hugo nominations - not going to bore you with the complete list but some I think are worth considering:

Person of Interest Season 5 for best long form drama
Person of Interest episode 6,741 for best short form drama
The Nightmare Stacks is this year's eligible Stross novel, and it makes the Laundry series as a whole eligible for best series
And The Howard/O'Brien Relate Counseling Session Transcripts - Part 1 by Stross is eligible for best short.

Channel 5 has only just started to show season 5 of PoI. Just recorded episode 4 last night.

Arrival is certainly going to be on my form. Mind you, I think it's the only film I saw last year.

It's not the best series in some respects but it's still a pretty good effort, and 6,741 is very good indeed.

I found The Nightmare Stacks very much worth reading, on several counts: the clash between two utterly mismatched armies, the convincingly portrayed calm of many of the UK characters in the face of danger, the characterization of First of Spies and Liars, and the final shift of the story from war to law (not to mention the disastrous dinner with Alex's family!). It was quite a relief after the somewhat disappointing The Annihilation Score (on the other hand, I had found The Rhesus Chart intensely moving). Now I'm very impatient to see The Delirium Brief. . . .

My first thought was that there couldn't possibly have been that many episodes, but then my brain kicked into gear. :)

Yes, I can see how a little confusion might arise...
