It looks like some of the deleted duplicate entries were the ones with comments, not the copies. If I run import yet again will it pull in the comments only, or am I likely to end up with duplicate entries (and possibly duplicate comments?) Can I just import comments only?

YEs you can import just comments.

I'll give it a try - the big frenzy seems to have died down a lot so hopefully it'll be a bit faster.

I believe you can set the import so it only imports the comments, at least I think it was one of the things you could click on or off during the import
