Had an ultrasound scan today to check if I have an abdominal aortic aneurysm and am about to drop dead. Relieved to say that the answer is probably not - it all looks pretty normal. Apparently all British men are invited to get this scan around age 65 now - not women, because they are much less likely to suffer from this. God knows if the NHS will continue to offer this service for long - it probably costs quite a bit and our beloved leaders are mean gits.
