Two possible illustrations for Harry Potter and the Half-God Prince - which do people prefer?






Basically, I want to put one of them at the start of the first chapter on archives that allow it.

Filters from Microsoft Picture It! which was still a free download the last time I looked.

Well, the second one is better, but I'm not keen on either, really.

Maybe pull back the craquelure on the top one? It's a bit intense on that setting. Or, is there a brush marks setting for a third choice?

That program doesn't have intensity settings, unfortunately, it's a bit basic. I suppose I should haul out the big guns and see what I can do with Photoshop, but it's a bit of a pain to work with, Picture It! is dead simple.
