I have to write dialogue for Remiel, former angel of Hope and now co-ruler of Hell.

I'm working on the assumption that he is by now just a little bitter. Does it sound plausible that he might come across as Snape-like? With a touch of Metatron, of course, for the Rickman fans...

He also comes across as the sanctimonious type, "I became the gatekeeper of hell so my fellow wouldn't suffer in silence."

Which given that his fellow is the Angel of Silence means that he may actually be upsetting him.
