RIP Concentric (Eastercon 2020)

As I expected they've pulled the plug on Concentric, this year's Eastercon, the UK National SF con, which would have been early next month. I've cancelled my hotel booking, with a load of unnecessary emails from Hilton as the inevitable result, unfortunately the train ticket currently seems to be non-refundable but it's only £12 anyway so not a huge deal, and the booking company (Trainline) claims to be trying to talk the train companies into giving refunds. Membership fees will hopefully be sorted eventually.

Anyone who was planning to travel from e.g. the USA has similar problems turned up to 11, and I hope nobody ends up too badly out of pocket.

Hilton have sent a cancellation to me without any prompting.

I bought my train ticket in person at the station, so I guess I'll have to take it back in person (in 3 months). And hope they are still doing refunds then!

You may be able to do something on line or something, but I really have no idea how.

Just a couple of minutes ago had an email from Trainline saying that there will be refunds on offer - they're doing the people who are due to travel in the next few days first, then contacting others once that's out of the way.
