Vaccine shock horror...

Six hours after vaccination with the Astra Zeneca vaccine, and no evil reactions whatever so far. My temperatures up about half a degree, which is not especially significant, that's about it. I'm guessing I'll probably feel it a little more tomorrow.

So far no discernible reaction except (possibly) a bit of tummy upset last night which may be unconnected. Slightly anticlimactic.

Ideally I ought to be feeling a slight reaction, it's a sign that it's working. If there's no change it may mean I'm carrying the bug which makes the inoculation less effective (I think).

For me the reaction kicked in 8+ hours after. I’ve heard many other people running in the same timescale with AstraZeneca which seems to be more prone to side effects than Pfizer. I was extremely flulike for the 48 hours from then on. This is the strongest reaction I have ever had to any vaccine, and I get the flu vaccine yearly. Good luck!

I had t last Wednesday. By Sturday my arm was a little sore. All fine now.

I received the Pfizer vaccine when I was in hospital last month, and as I'd recently had heart surgery, it was difficult to distinguish between side effects of the jab and side effects of the operation. I was still very confused.

I'm due for the second jab end of March, but I'm not sure how I'll get to the hospital, being a non-driver.

Check if their patient support people will arrange a ride for you - it's a fairly common problem, most hospitals etc. are set up to deal with it.

As it happens, I have to to back to the hospital in May for a check-up, and the details of that appointment does give a transport contact.
