Picspam - Robin (no Batman)

Just a little robin that turned up on the roof behind my flat while I was testing a 200mm lens after rain on Tuesday. Distance about 12ft for most of the shots, the last two about 9ft. Completely unafraid of me, as is probably obvious from the photos.

He was pretty much posing for the camera, and digital makes it easy to take a lot of pictures - I discarded another four or five which weren't as good - so I can't claim a lot of credit.

Also sheer luck, I'm afraid, he took off just as I pressed the shutter button, and of course the camera was focused on where he'd been sitting, so I got a fairly blurry impression of flight and a pin-sharp picture of the gutter.
