And Another Fantasy Bundle - The One Ring
Dec. 11th, 2024 06:33 pmA new bundle for The One Ring 2nd Edition, the licensed RPG from Free League Publishing based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Some of this material was in the One Ring Starter Bundle last year, but most of it is new. Last time I said
I'm not really in the market for new fantasy games at present, especially ones where it's likely that most players will have more detailed knowledge of the setting than I do - I've read the books a couple of times but I haven't devoted much time to them beyond that - but that's my problem. I think that the decision to limit the scope of this starter offer to one setting and era may be a bigger problem for some referees - for example, those who prefer a starting point in Rohan or an orc- or elf-centered campaign.
Having said that, it seems a reasonable price if it's the sort of thing you want.
The scope of this bundle seems broader, but again it's a single starting point and era, which may not suit everyone's needs. In other respects it's very nicely done and reasonably priced, so if you're interested in gaming in this setting it looks to be a worthwhile buy.
