ffutures | Another SF RPG Bundle

This is a bundle for Stillfleet, a far-future SFRPG from the Stillfleet Studio; adventures explore ruined spacecraft ("hulks") and habitable earth-like planets in a far(ish) future of a universe that seems to really dislike interstellar travel - there are the remains of a LOT of vanished cultures out there, and not much evidence as to what happened to them. The framing concept uses an interstellar corporation that sends people out to do the grunt-work of exploration, which seems to have an ethos comparable to Weyland-Yutani at their best.

This is an interesting concept that draws on a lot of familiar themes from SF books and films, a few of which even get acknowledged. I'm a bit iffy about the time scale of the background, it's a bit vague and seems like an awful lot has happened in a few hundred years at some points, while seeming to look at longer periods elsewhere. I haven't looked through much of it apart from the rules, and I suspect that at some point it may be explained that something has messed up the historical and archaological record. There are some fun aliens, and a refreshing emphasis on playing aliens to actually seem alien. If you're interested in SF RPGs I think it's well worth a look.
