I'm probably not the audience this is aimed at - it feels a bit too metaphorical for me, and I'm not a huge fan of games that pit characters against each other to this extent (with the exception of Paranoia, which makes it work by being extremely silly.) On the other hand it's fairly cheap and nicely presented, and might be just what some of you are looking for.

Kieron Gillen is a hardcore TTRPG player/GM of yore, and also a comics author (co-author of the Hugo shortlisted The Wicked and the Divine); DIE is his comic that's also a homage to TTRPG players (a bunch of gamers get yanked back into a trapped inside the game they ended up in 20 years earlier, leaving their then-teenage GM behind: he's now God ...), and this is the TTRPG he designed for the setting. So it's pleasantly recursive and not a hit and run cash-grab by a non-gamer.

I get that, I'm just not a huge fan of games that deliberately set things up so that players will have to kill each other's characters, which seems to be the end-game here. Also not really keen on games about gaming, I always find it spoils my immersion in the game.
