Next Week's Doctor Who

Anyone else see the trailer for next week's Doctor Who (season 2 episode 4) and immediately think of Girl Genius? You've got an alternative history London with dozens of airships overhead, creepy weird science experiments on people, and so forth - looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

I haven't seen it yet, but what I've read made me think of some of the alternate futures in Moorcock. Not to mention Sky Captain, the comic Mr X...

We do seem to like airships, though. Something about them speaks to us. (Well, in my case obviously the shape...)

LOL! Actually my first thought for some reason was LXG, but yeah, definitely a GG feel to it. And I think my biggest giggle for the ep is Barty Crouch Jr. and Sr. reunited . . .

My biggest concern is that it looks like the chief badguy is in a wheelchair. So that'll be the two biggest monsters in the series created by the disabled, then? Plus, how does this all tie in with Mondas? Still, very psyched.

My suspicion: this parallel-world Earth will be retconned to be Mondas. Perhaps the Cybermen will find some way to bring the whole planet into our timeline, which would explain the 'Earth's Twin' idea.
