Everything Changes and Day One

Episodes 1 and 2 of this new drama series. A brutal murder leads WPC Gwen Cooper to Torchwood, a journey that will change her life forever. Plus, Torchwood must stop a sex addicted alien as it leaves a trail of gruesome deaths in its wake.

It isn't on BBC1, so if you don't already have freeview or another way of seeing BBC3 this would appear to be a good week to get sorted...

Is there any word yet on if/when it's coming to BBC1 or BBC2?

Or do I need to step up my hate campaign against the BBC?

Yes, wel,l rub it why don't you?

I've only just finished detailing my woes about the lack of digital availability where I live and you remind me that Torchwood is BBC3 only. Well actually the trailers every few hours do that but you know what I mean.

I wonder if they'll do a web cast?

It would, of course, be completely unethical of me to mention how quickly decent torrents of Doctor Who were available after broadcast.

And it would put me on very dangerous legal ground indeed to point out that, according to some interpretations of the license fee, you have a right to view digital transmissions whether you have a decoder box at all.*

(waves hand mystically in front of face)

I was never here, this conversation nnnneeeeeevvvvveeeerrr haaaaaappened.

*Specifically, comments made by the BBC on opening their digital archive project.

Well, there's always the dreaded DVD and snail mail if all else fails.

I was under the impression that episode 1 was airing on BBC1 at the same time as BBC3. - But you had to go to BBC3 to watch the next episode that night - and that after that it would be an episode on BBC1 followed by the next on BBC3 - like they did with 24.

Things may have changed.

I've no idea how accurate this is (the Radio Times link in it doesn't work for me), but it says some will be on BBC2:

Oh, that's potentially good news. Fingers crossed somebody at the BBC have realised just how much they really should show it on the channel people might actually watch it on.

Or perhaps I underestimate how well BBC3 is doing these days.

You know, I'm ~slightly~ concerned about the show, having seen the trailer...

It's not showing in the Radio Times online thing so far, or on the programme guide on my freeview box. The BBC3 things are.

According to the new issue of DWM, the first episode will be simulcast on BBC1 and BBC3, followed immediately by episode 2 on BBC3 only. The rest of the series will be on BBC3 only, but will be repeated on BBC1 in the New Year.

There's an official site at http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/, with a Torchwood Institute site also at http://www.torchwood.org.uk/.

I was sent here by [livejournal.com profile] lyssie to suggest you'd write a SG1/CSI:LV crossover? Many years ago, I came across a Stargate ficlet where the team went to Vegas, had a bit too much fun and crashed a 'flying saucer'. I just couldn't get the idea of Warrick and Nick meeting the team in a casino.
Really, I'd be happy to have any of the SG1 team (Teal'c, Sam, Jack or Daniel or any combination thereof)meeting Grissom particularly.

There's still nothing about BBC 1 in the program guides, but it is going to be on BBC2 the following Wednesday.

I'm already writing a BtVS / SG1 crossover (fairly slowly), and have several other unfinished stories - I don't think I really want to get into anything else right now.
