Chuck

For some reason I was convinced that I'd seen a couple of episodes of Chuck and hadn't enjoyed it much. But Amazon UK were selling Season 1 very cheaply a couple of weeks ago, I bought it, and it turns out that I'm wrong. About half way through the second episode and liking it a lot. VERY silly. Can't figure out what it was that I did watch, though, since it didn't engage my attention much and I really don't remember anything about it.

Any suggestions on fanfic to read?

Reaper.

Guy who works at a job much like Chuck's, at a store much like Chuck's, discovers that his parents made a deal with the Devil before he was born and sold off his soul.

Every week the Devil assigns him the task of hunting down and retrieving a villain who has escaped from Hell, which he accomplishes with the aid of other slacker co-workers from the big-box store, including an anarchic comic sidekick much like Chuck's. Meanwhile he negotiates the slings and arrows of ordinary life when not busy with his secret life, much like Chuck.

Premiered the same season as Chuck.

I found it entertaining, but found Chuck more entertaining, and haven't watched as many episodes of Reaper.

Don't think so - I saw the first ten or so episodes of Reaper before giving up on it, I just didn't like it quite enough to keep watching.
