Owls Over Metropolis

"Mom, was there an owl for me?" asked Calvin Kent.

"An owl?" Lois raised her eyebrows.

"From Hogwarts!"

She checked his eleventh birthday cards. "Nope, no owls. Anyway, isn't Hogwarts British?"

"I guess."

"If anyone's going to send you owls I want it to be an American school," said Lois, "but you'd have to be a wizard first."

Calvin went out, and flew back in on the yard broom. "See?"

"That just shows you're Clark's son."

"Accio cookie!" A cookie flew from the bowl to Calvin's hand.

Lois grinned and handed him a scroll. "Just teasing. Bat, from Salem."

"Mom!"

My two sons, both both Superman and Harry Potter fans, got a big kick out of it (although I had to explain the "Bat, from Salem," line to one).

There's some sort of witches intsitute there (forget the details), I'm assuming a school too.
