Steamboat PDF

I've made a PDF of the sheets of cutout shapes needed to make the steamboat model I've been talking about. At the moment it has no instructions or pictures of the finished boat - but I'd be grateful for a couple of volunteers who'd be willing to take a look at it as-is and see if it prints out OK and makes sense. Basically, there's a flat deck plan plus bits to build up a cabin deck, engine room, and paddle wheel housings, a funnel, a wheelhouse, and rails with lifebelts (print these last on acetate for best results). I think that the page is set up as letter size paper, but it may be A4 - for various reasons this has been printed in PDF creator then assembled in Acrobat.

Anyway, I don't want this to go on line generally until I release FF X, it will then be a free download. If you you want to have a play and can agree not to pass on the PDF to anyone else let me have contact details and I'll mail it to you, it's about 1mb at present.

I think that it's A4, and that I should have selected "fit to printable area" not "exact scale" when printing it, but I'll see how it goes.

I think the main moral is that I should have tried harder to find some card. Paper is mostly working, sort of, sometimes with additional flaps to those marked (e.g. at the base of the cabin walls), and there are other bits where I could have used more flaps with hindsight.
I'm not at all sure how to get the wheelhouse walls and roof attached to each other and the top of the engine house, but card and hot melt glue might do it. Or cutting the wheelhouse walls in half instead of folding, and putting a second copy of the roof upside down with flaps between the inside and outside halfs of the wheelhouse.
I'll try and take some photos tomorrow (do you have a Flickr account I could friend? or would it be okay if the photos were public?).

Public is fine - there's nothing secret about this. The wheelhouse roof is a bit of a pain; maybe it needs to be a bit more box-like.

Thanks - The funnel definitely needs more work, those ends just don't work properly. I think I may leave it as a simple tube and add instructions to cut it off at a slant if I can't get the curve right.
