1.25gb and all seems well!

Okay, that was pretty painless. I now have 1.25gb in this PC, and nothing horrible seems to have gone wrong.

I want to give it a few days to make sure that things are OK, after that does anyone want a 256mb DIMM?

Any reason you don't want to keep the 256mb DIMM in there, or are you intending to upgrade that too?

It has two slots and was previously 512mb as 2 x 256mb, so I had to pull one of the two - eventually I may pull the second DIMM and put it up to 2gb.

That jump to 2Gb will be very noticeable for you!
