Yet another cover picture
Sep. 2nd, 2008 10:09 pmThis is the Mars / Space background again but taking on board what people have said about things not looking hand-drawn enough. This is maybe a bit too basic, I'm not 100% sure. The previous effort is on the left, the new one on the right:

I'm not polling this time, but comments on which (if either) you prefer and why would be appreciated.

For another, the spaceship POPS more in the first. In the second, you've added a lot of color and such but it doesn't actually pop much in the angle/position it's been put.
Also, as a note, it looks a little odd in "Peril"; because of the way it's done, it almost looks a little like "Perii" or "Peru" at a quick glance.

Date: 2008-09-02 10:30 pm (UTC)I can see where you are going with the brighter green on the main text, makes it stand out more, but it still needs the shadowing you have in the first to make it more 3D, it looks flat without the gradient shading.
