Well, I'm not married or planning to, but I can't imagine why anyone should think that same-sex marriage hurts other forms. Surely it strengthens the institution of marriage as a whole, if everyone agrees that it's important? That's my impression anyway.

While I don't have any stake in this I think that the protection argument is silly. And that's about it, really.

As a resident in the current American battle ground state of choice (California), I have to say that my coworker's recent same-sex marriage appears not to have broken up any of the other families around me, nor has it put me off the concept of marriage myself.

And honestly, I don't want to see George Takei's marriage ruled invalid. That's just mean.

It's never been about what is right and what is just. If that were the case we would've had it a long time ago.

It's about what is "Good" and "Christain." Say what you will, but america is a Chrsitian nation dispite what people think about the religous freedoms we are suppsed to have.

The good news is that I honestly feel that the majority of christians are not bigoted and narrow minded like this. (heck, I live within spitting distance of a christain church with a lesbain pastor...) It's the bible thumping fanatics who are the problem.

Honestly, do you think that if the senator who tried to get the 10 commandments put in a courthouse was trying to do it with the wiccan rede or a pentagram that it would've even amde the news?

Just getting that off my chest.
