Not my election, of course, but if you don't vote and the candidate you hate wins, you have only yourself to blame.

I've voted in every election I've been eligible since I was 18. I don't think the candidates I've supported have won more a couple of times, but it wasn't for the lack of my vote.

So go vote - ideally, vote for someone, but if you can't find a candidate you like, vote against the one that you hate. Better yet, vote on the issues, not the candidate, if you think they can be separated.

And best of luck!

If we don't vote in the right man, we have only ourselves to blame if the Inter Planetary Mining Corporation is given a free hand to excavate the Martian cities, and we turn Tweerl's race into the enemies of the League. Don't you agree?

Definitely - who knows what's going on in mound-builder burrows? Could be weapons of mass destruction!

You know ... eusocial beings each individually the size of men, with occasional access to Weird Forgotten Technology, might very well collectively hold really dangerous secrets. And the joke is that we probably wouldn't realize it until they started to use it.

Not atom bombs ... atomic technology was the one thing none of the Martians had. But chemical poisons? Strange rays? However the hell the canals were dug in the first place? Who knows?

I'm surprised to hear of how long the lines are in some parts of the country. Having to wait 4-5 hours to cast ones vote... no wonder the turn outs are so low sometimes.

I think the longest I've ever had to wait to vote was 5 minutes once.

I've voted in the same place for ten years. This is the first time I've seen a line out the door, and it was at least fifty people long.

HEY! If we wanted the English pushing us around and telling us what to do, we wouldn't have had a revolution!

Then vote against the British, if you can find a candidate for that!

Hey! Stop telling me what to do, or I'll dump your tea in the harbor!

I voted against King George twice now. Didn't help.

Not to sound jaded but I've been voting for 20 years now.

My candidates never win.

As a working class American neither party ever really seems to help us or the poor.

Every election they campaign to us, all about us... they do nothing for us when they get elected.

The American election system is hopelessly floundering.

It doesn't matter who wins, in the end they won't do a d*mned thing to help people like me.
