SVP's one-day offer dept. are selling 2.8 GHz PCs for £99.99 plus £3 shipping today (ends at midnight).

No monitor, only 512mb RAM and Vista (spit) but it does have a dual layer DVD drive, 160gb HD, and card reader slots. Only a 90-day warranty and they are apparently "as-new bankrupt stock" whatever that means, but might be worth it to someone who needs a backup PC or something for the kids.

Annoyingly three of the ones in the last week would have been at least tempting (this one, the iPod battery box and the SD cards), oh and the iPod docking station and speakers would have been cool too ... though there's one at Aldi on Sunday that looks pretty good for £20 (clock radio docking station and remote control)

Think I'll order one of these as a machine to help a friend out until the new year ... may need to find a cheap LCD monitor for her, but I believe they are cheaply and easily available ...

... I've ordered one machine from 24gone, and "2x1GB 240-PIN 128Mx64 DDR2 PC2-6400 UNBUFF CL6" from Crucial (20.99 + vat and shipping and I got an antistatic wristband as well (not sure where mine are) so it came to just under £30 for Crucial.

Let's hope they are both in stock and can ship this week!

No, all my responsibility! It is a good deal though, and the postage was only £3 which surprised me, I thought they'd whack a chunk on there. Can't really go wrong at that price though.
